چکیده

Camellia oleifera is an important woody edible oil crop in China with high ecological and economical values. It a traditional oilseed levels of desirable fatty acids. The fruits C. were harvested from 18 geographic provenances southern China. In this paper, we analyzed the key environmental factors diverse that caused variation fruit morphology acid composition (FAC). Our study indicated average coefficient width (FW) 18.63%, 15.81% for length (FL). most abundant acids (FA) oleic (C18:1; 70.21–85.23%), followed by palmitic (C16:0; 6.93–13.89%) linoleic (C18:2; 5.02–14.26%). addition, had negative correlation equivalent latitude (ELAT) positive annual mean air temperature (MAT). length-to-width ratio level ELAT but MAT, precipitation (AP), wettest quarter (PWQ). A was observed between AP, PWQ acid. Meanwhile, found longitude (LON), maximum warmest month (MTW), cluster analysis six groups selected populations. results showed influential FAC are MAT.

Seed Transcriptomics Analysis in Camellia oleifera Uncovers Genes Associated with Oil Content and Fatty Acid Composition

Camellia oleifera is a major tree species for producing edible oil. Its seed oil is well known for the high level of oleic acids; however, little is known regarding the molecular mechanism of lipid biosynthesis in C. oleifera. Here, we measured the oil contents and fatty acid (FA) compositions at four developmental stages and investigated the global gene expression profiles through transcriptom...

Melanogenesis Inhibitory and Antioxidant Effects of Camellia oleifera Seed Oil

Purpose: The study aimed to characterize the fatty acid profile of Camellia oleifera (tea) seed oil and evaluate for cytotoxicity and activities on melanogenesis and antioxidant activity assays in order to utilize as the functional oil. Methods: The fatty acid profile of oil was analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The cytotoxicity was performed by sulforhodamine B (SRB) as...

Evaluation of Fatty Acid Composition of Oil Extracted from Nine Varieties of Sunflower Seed

In this study nine new varieties of sunflower seeds were obtained and subjected to oil extraction using soxhlet apparatus. The extracted oil was analyzed for fatty acid composition and phosphorus content to measure the phospholipid concentration. The results indicated that Armavirski variety had the highest oil content. The fatty acid composition of the extracted oils indicated that Armavirski ...

Comparison of Oil Content and Fatty Acid Profile of Ten New Camellia oleifera Cultivars

The oil contents and fatty acid (FA) compositions of ten new and one wild Camellia oleifera varieties were investigated. Oil contents in camellia seeds from new C. oleifera varied with cultivars from 41.92% to 53.30% and were affected by cultivation place. Average oil content (47.83%) of dry seeds from all ten new cultivars was almost the same as that of wild common C. oleifera seeds (47.06%). ...

Microwave-assisted extraction of polyphenols from Camellia oleifera fruit hull.

The abundant fruit hulls of tea-oil tree (Camellia oleifera) are still underutilized and wastefully discaded to pollute the environment. In order to solve this problem and better utilize the fruit hulls of C. oleifera, a microwave-assisted extraction system was used to extract their polyphenols using water as the extraction solvent. A central composite design (CCD) was used to monitor the effec...
